The identity of Puaingo has been shaped by the lived experiences of Founder, Toti West. Tension can exist in contexts that yearn for the authentic co-existence of Tangata Whenua and Tangata Tiriti. Psychological safety needs to be carefully cultivated in these spaces so that people feel inspired to self-actualise for a vision greater than themselves. This has become the core motivation for Puaingo - to inspire, to empower, to see peoples aspirations realised.
